Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

I am in the corner usually nursing a beer and talking to anyone who wants.

I miss it... I miss the desert rats that come in for some TV shoot some pool and generally share thier displeasure with society... Drink their fill and stagger out to their Desert beater cars and drive home on wild dirt roads.

I loved Bars. I especially loved red neck country bars. The fact that I would get drunk was too much of a deficit. I traded bars for sobriety - sigh. That's not a complaint just an observation. I love the sober me, and so does the Princess. It's more than worth the change.

I love them too.... If there is a pool table and a place to sit outside... I think I could hover in a corner and nurse a tonic water... Or split a beer with someone me taking my two sips in a cup....

Sour, I do not trust myself enough to consider getting drunk, I would likely end up in prison for several years, Al, sounds like your jeep is like the rusty chevy song...
Yep... sounds about right!

I did just get the rusted out hinges on the driver's door rewelded... it was feeling swank...being able to both open and close that door.

I saw a fire update on Friday. They were piloting cars through it for about 20 miles, I think. The article said to be sure to have plenty of food, water and fuel as delays could be anywhere from 40 minutes to several hours. I believe Cooper Landing is at “set” stage for evaluation prep, and Sterling is at “ready”.
Thanks for the update....

Yep, that is what I am thinking...

Must be how they saw him.

I was always a very friendly drunk... er... maybe too friendly. When I had kids I realized that drinking & parenting were both full time jobs for me & I couldn’t properly do one while still doing the other. This is not at all knocking parents who can still do both. I just knew I didn’t have the attention span to pull it off.

When I’m a full time empty nester I suspect there might be the occasional bottle of Belvedere in the freezer.

common around here in "our" (aka us and Phil) neighborhood. Must be a good 10 yrs or so ago that we ordered one of those "do it yourself" garage pole building kits from Menards. The big truck just shows up and dumps everything on the ground with the plans you worked out on their kiosk and away you go. DH set the main posts in advance then all the sons, son-in-laws and the grandkids and a friend or two showed up while us females kept them fed and "watered" and our nice 2 car and a bit more garage was up in a day with nothing than power drills and a table saw. Got some great pics of Pa and the boys working together. :D
Only thing missing was the Amish hats! :lau
The guys who came to put up the car port I'm converting to a shop all spoke Spanish.
I know a little Spanish but not enough to carry on a conversation.... But the one guy kept saying. Lo Siento all the time
