Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

You seem to have a lot of fruitcakes where you live Roomy, or is that normal?

Yes. Unfortunately its fairly normal. It was worse when I lived in LA.

Sign it off as Heat crazy.

1. Tailgating is never cool no matter where you live...

2. Face it Some people ar Whacko Magnets... Some pieces of land are Whacko magneds.

Have you thought of having an exorcism?

only half crazy here...

deb

They have all covered the situation. You are indeed a 'crazy' magnet, and an exorcism is in order.

Good morning, Café.

Heat crazy was the first thing I thought of too, but honestly an exorcism might be a good idea. I did feel a bit like I was gonna projectile vomit pea soup yesterday.

As an optimistic person, my first instincts are to delegate & defuse, but the second I feel threatened my inner city girl flares out. Luckily I wasn't out there & luckily DH is a professionally trained calm person.

Top of the morning Ponders!

@room onthebroom some people just don't have anything more positive to invest their energy in. Sorry you've gotta deal with thre crazies.

This is my wife and youngest boy having a chat the night before Dorian passed by.

Then there's this nut job hugging my oldest son.

Cute family Trim! :love

Tonight DH was driving home behind a guy with a couple trees hanging out of his trunk. They were obviously going slow, no big, it was just a couple blocks. Anyway DH turned onto our road & got out to get the mail when the car with the trees stops dead in the middle of the street. Two 20-something guys jump out of the car & start screaming f bombs at DH & accusing him of tailgating them. It totally took DH off guard & he was like, “What? I wasn’t tailgating you. I saw you have plants & I’m in no hurry.” They kept yelling at him & so he says, “Hey, if you guys are wanting to pick a fight with me, ok I guess, but i gotta tell ya, I’m feeling pretty chill.” They said, “Look its just way uncool to tailgate someone who lives on your same block.” DH said, “Ya know what, this car won’t even let you tailgate. You get remotely close to someone & it starts screaming at you.” With that they finally went, “Oh, ok” gave him a ‘bro nod’ & got back in there car. The whole thing just pissed me off when he told me.

Here’s my questions;
1. Is it “cool” to tailgate someone who doesn’t live on your block?

2. What’s with people picking fights with my family on my own property? My temperament for this sort of thing is getting short, quick.
Only tailgate if you're nearsighted.

Seriously though... sheesh - sometimes people are just looking for a fight. Not sure what motivates that kind of behavior... daddy issues?

@room onthebroom and @perchie.girl - any of those wicked fires near you. (I'm not caught up reading the pond
So you might have already addressed this)

We have a big one, but it's south of us. Still eerie w smoke and helicopters flying over. A little ptsd has made me collect the important papers and put them in the car.
