Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

It’s a girl! Our newest grandchild arrived at 2:12 am today. Big brother says she’s cute. (We’ll see how long that lasts!)

Thought I would read some back log headache just won't go away :barnie. Couple of days of heat exhaustion have taken it's toll on me . Dogs goats chickens and hay. :thAnd flat tires :hit. Walking up to the little deck. night before last . Around 11 I guess :idunno DD's cat was snatching something out of the mint . I could tell they way she was doing it ,it was a little snake . Turned out to be a baby timber rattle snake . bout twelve inches long .Now DW is worried there may be rattle snakes under the house .:idunnoPoor little thing, I ran in the house got a marshmallow fork. We battled over the snake for a good five minutes . I was trying to pin it's head to pick it up, Pointer the cat was trying to kill it to eat :lauTook it from her, and it's living in a water bottle while I decide what to do with it .:idunno Thing is DW may be right :idunnothey are born live ,and there can be as many as 10 babies from one gestation . There has to be at least 1 breeding pair close by.:frow I guess I'll break out the old black light and lava lamp :lauHave me some snake dreams .
