Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

Everyone is aware.... Thursday is the headless horseman hunt.

I have forced all 5 boys to create characters and level them up.

Hahahaha! Headless horseman fodder! His head will be mine!!!!

Think I could talk them into waking up at 5am and playing until 2am? :lau
Ummmm,,,,,???????

The antique online computer game I play... no graphics... all text.... it was founded I think in 1994.

Anyway... on Halloween the headless horseman pops up and runs around trying to cut off everyone's head. It is a pretend death, but if you are not careful he can real kill you. Real death on the game you loose a crazy amount of experience points... I think 1/4 of your total. :sick

Anyway, the horseman has an INSANELY high number of hitpoints, so even with a few very powerful characters it takes HOURS to kill him. What makes it worse is he is perpetually teleporting around and if you run off to heal then HE runs to the stream and heals too!

I need the kids as cannon fodder, so I can kill him I hope twice. If you kill him you get an auto-loading pumpkin, it is cool.

The problem is, since this is an antique game... most players have full time jobs, and lives.... so hard to get a bunch of them to play for 12 hours straight on a weekday.

I tried begging the powers that be to change the code and make the horseman pop up on the weekend closest to Halloween.... but no go.

WOW WOW WOW !!! YIPPEEEEEEE!!!!
:wee:wee:wee:wee:wee:wee
An amazingly thoughtful grandson (DH's side-mine by love) is coming for deer season along with his brother, dad and uncle(s) which in itself is wonderful because we haven't had all the boys up here together for at least 5 years BUT when he was up here with his dad and uncle helping "grandpa" clean up the mess from the big storm, he kept asking me how we managed moving all the snow since grandpa sold the old plow truck years ago and then then a few years ago the antique tractor. I told him we have matching snow blowers (which is true). Well, found out he didn't like grandpa working that hard so he's bringing up his small diesel tractor with the snowplow attachment and leaving it here for the winter for us to use!!! His dad (DH's oldest son) stepped up and is going to plow GS's drive for him when he does his own (he has a plow on his truck and doesn't live too far from him-dad is the one with his own well drilling business so he has lots of big boy "toys"). Now, I need o figure out something really special to make for such a wonderful grandson :love

As of yesterday one of my newbie pullets is a Big Girl (20wks almost on the nose.) :weeI'm not sure yet who laid it. It could possibly be the RR or the Marans/mix. I was hoping the MM would give me a classic Marans red egg, but its possible the red was mixed out. Its slightly too dark for the RR but I'm hoping its hers so that I still have a shot at red. :fl Its still a very pretty shade of dark brown. Even my Wellie laid a lighter brown than this, so I'm not complaining.

The Marans eggs here got darker as they matured. I don't know it it's true of all Marans but the egg coloring tends to vary a bit from one egg to the next.

I'm back! Did y'all miss me?
Been busy like the rest of you.
Road trip to the Onc. Still in remission :bun
Chickens still not laying and somebody's leaving their feathers everywhere! Thought the molt was almost over, guess not.
Crunchy this morning. Rain barrels froze solid. Time to kick em all over I guess. Supposed to get above freezing for the weekend then snow next week. It's that time.
My brain still functions!!! :wee
Spent part of my last census paycheck on a great deal on a new TV to replace the older one in the livingroom while I had the funds. Moved the old TV into the bedroom to replace the REALLY old one in there. Here comes the brain function part. Both old TVs were connected to the Dish hopper/DVR (and remote Joey) and each other thru the router as well as hardwired to the satellite . I managed all the switching, recabling, reprogramming and remote setups (drumroll please) WITHOUT A HITCH! :clap And all by myself. (Hubby, who can fix anything with a motor disappears when it comes to computer/electronic stuff) And, ran new wires for the landline phone while I was at it. Not bad for a senior citizen with chemo brain :lau. Still need to download the manual for the new TV (of course there was zero documentation in the box except "plug in here and follow instructions on screen" which told me to go to Vizio.com and download the manual :smack)
That's not so easy. Good job.:)

I remember this from last year. I still don't understand the game.
