I've got that crappy sinus virus thing again that I got when I came back from NYC in October :( Not a great start to the new year, lol. I wonder how I keep catching this thing.

I'm also currently babysitting an 80 pound 5 month old puppy. My brother, due to problems with his landlord, declined to sign a new lease at his apartment and has moved in here with Vader. He's a super sweet dog, but boy is he rambunctious.

Ah well, I'm having fun doing some training stuff with him. We started target training yesterday, and he's picking it up quick. It's a good way to keep his focus and let him spend some energy constructively, lol. If I was feeling better, we'd go for a long walk to burn off some energy (and I'd teach him to heel, because he doesn't know that yet).

My poor cats aren't happy, though. Boo, the younger one, just hides all day behind the couch until my brother takes the dog up to bed with him. BW, my 20 year old, is less afraid of the dog, but doesn't really want to be around him, too much energy for an old lady, plus she's old and frail so he could really hurt her without meaning to. She doesn't run from him, but she does avoid him, and hisses and spits whenever he gets near her. He's gotten swatted a few times. Luckily, she really can't do any damage anymore, and I have to keep her claws clipped because she can't sharpen them down anymore and if I don't clip them, she gets stuck in the carpet.
Eck about the illness.

Sounds like I fun dog.

I am still impressively ill. Hot then cold, and a constantly running nose and watering eyes.

Kids that came down with it last week are still sleeping 10 hours a night and have a horrid cough.

Good afternoon Ponders,
Me.... :barnie my head .. so wanting to explode. I would cry if I thought it would make it feel better. :hit
I hate being sick... cold then hot... and super congested. :he
So sorry you're still feeling so rotten Al :hugs

Glad Rodgers finally showed up yesterday. He ain't been right the whole season.
Agreed. Absolutely ugliest win ever, but at least it was a win. Too bad the Seahawks couldn't have pulled on off too. They sure had enough opportunities.

sounds like your going to need a Jack hammer if you need to clear the road.... Or a quarter stick of Dynamite.... :gig Typical dad answer...

Not about to give the DH any ideas!!! Actually he plowed yesterday before the snow got too heavy moving a lot of the "concrete" out of the way before it had a chance to set and he's already moved the 10" of fresh stuff so not so bad. We cleared the roofs pretty much so we're good there as well. Thankfully the weather is giving us time to clear up one mess before the next one hits. Not like past year. More snow by end of the week but nothing to worry about. Oh, and no power outages!:woot

As for the hearing aids, DH has his timing down to a science as to when to "accidentally" forget his. Sometimes I think it would be a blessing if my hearing weren't still so good ;)

Dang it Al! :barnie Can’t like that!

Bobbi & Pyxis, are you guys feeling any better yet?

I had a woman in hobby lobby cough right in my face the other day. :he What kind of bottom feeder does that? :barnie
