Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

I must've left my car unlocked when I went back out to get a grocery bag because someone stole my backpack from the floor of the backseat.

I don't want to hear any crap about how lucky I am it was just a backpack, or that I didn't get the windows broke, or carjacked... Its such a personal violation & I'm effing pissed off!Humanity never ceases to disappoint me.:mad::mad:
:he:mad: And:hugsto you, Room!

Beautiful bird. I'd love to have one, but DW would freak with the mess they make, and at this stage of my life it would probably outlive both of us. Had canaries & parakeets growing up; no house birds since.

mine are much less messy with the new cage I built. Not sure if I showed it off here. I wrapped a skirt around the bottom, and actually need to add a couple more slats at the bottom to help even more, but it’s a lot less dusty now than the other cage was.

DEB!! Awesome news about the house! And thank you so much for sharing your picture - you look great!
Thank you Over on the old folks a few suggested I get some smaller blouses. LOL. So had to take mom for a Walmart run and Oh by the way would you get me two Tshirts one a three x and one a 2 x... Cheepest ones you can find. she came back with a maroon and a grey... The 2x fit I put it on right there in the parking lot. LOL... I wear sports bras so they are cotton and decent...

I am still having a big A party once I get back in and the house turned around. Everyone here is invited. there is a hotel in town and camping spots all over my property... I can even bed down about ten people in the house if everyone is freindly... ONe bathroom though. I hope to get the outhouse rebuilt as well.

Brilliant use of the original cage... Yep when i went from a regular house cage to aviary wire they were so much happier and less mess making.

That is full on horrid!!!

:hugs so very sorry that happened to you!

Don't have to explain to me. I have an LLBean kid's backpack - fit's me perfectly and I've been using it for years & years. I worried it would fall apart, so every time they had some on clearance because of unpopular colors, etc. I bought more. Haven't used any of them. The original one is still going strong. I love this bag.

It's not meant to carry a gal. of milk but, it does. Or I load it up with cans at least 10 lbs. worth plus lighter things. I wish it had a sternum strap but it's okay without it. It also has a waist belt, so I hike up the shoulder straps- that way my shoulders don't feel the weight at all.
I can get 2- 2 lt.Coke in it plus smaller, or fragile items - it has 3 zippered areas and a small front pocket with key fob. I should say I could get more in it BUT, don't want to fracture any bones.

It's so heavy with a full load when I walk into the house, I back up to a chair and slowly let the backpack down. Then get my arms out of the shoulder straps. I get very attached to items I have and would have all out rage if someone dared to steal it.

I should say I am very petite (okay SHORT) so LL Bean bags for ages 12 and up fit me great.
Some stores don't want back packs brought in, they think people are using them to steal. Well seeing a white haired oldie using one - I got them used to it. If they want to search it they are welcome but, IF they don't find anything - I tell them I will go after them for harassment.

BTW room, forgive yourself- like most women I bet you have so much going on in your mind (of what needs to be done etc.) it's not surprising that some things just slip by.

I have to admit I loose my wallet often. Actually misplace it is a more accurate term. I wear a belt bag and keep the wallet in there. But it has 3 compartments and sometimes I put it in the wrong one.

Oh the belt bag is because I used to hang my purse on a hook in the bathroom stall and a couple times I walked out without it. Luckily I remembered in time to rush back and rescue it before someone took it.
