Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

Yeah, when I hear people do the "It's no big deal" speech it's generally because they're not thinking about how many people for whom it would be a really, really big deal.
We need a level of awareness between, “OH NO!! WE’RE ALL GOING TO DIE!!!!!” and “It’s no big deal.” I think some precautions are necessary. I don’t think we need to buy up all the toilet paper. But in case any of you run short:

Son #2 is on his way home from Iowa today...the school extended spring break and put most of April's classes online.
I'm wondering what my school will do...

Today's the last day for a lot of schools here for at least two weeks. Saw some schools that were going to online classes. Wonder what happens to families that don't have computers & can't afford to buy one. Schools going to provide them? It's about half scary when you consider the possible ramifications.

I'm considering foregoing the remainder of my bowling season, and that's saying something, considering how much a part of my life bowling's been for so long.

Ok, catching up. Not sure you all have talked about the stockpiling going on. It's horrible here now since our Mayor spoke. I'm glad they are doing what they are doing to..try..and keep this virus leveled out...but people are going nuts! The shelves are empty. It's like watching a dooms day movie. My son took some photos. I'll see if I can share. I lucked out and went early to shop. They had milk!! And butter! Yep.. probably out by now.

And guess who's in the category of most at risk. I'm shopping Amazon for a bubble I can live in for a while with my almost non-existant immune system.
I was thinking of you mr Whites. Even tho I am one of the "ancient" ones I should be good since on paper it sounds like I am at risk but I'm, I'm in remission and have been for years now, fully tested every 4 months or so for just about everything and my immune system is 100%. That said, I know all too well where you are that's why I try keep you included (along with Perchie) in my prayers. This whole thing isn't funny. I worry about my DH as well. Even tho he's basically far healthier than I am, he's also quite a bit more ancient than I am and one of those "normal" guys that manages to usually pick up whatever is going around within anywhere near us. I get all the vaccinations every year not for me but so I hopefully don't bring anything home to him.

Better safe than sorry, Ken. We may be old, but we still have things to do.

@BYC910 when I got into my truck this morning the first song to immediately play was, "A Country Boy Will Survive." I do wonder about those city folks who eat out nearly every day. What will the do if/when restaurants and fast food joints shut down ?
