Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

Somethings been cleaning the bait out of my rat traps every night. I finally caught them in action. Giant slugs. :sick Not as big as the banana slugs in the PNW, but definitely the size of their little brother. I’ve never seen slugs this big, this far south before. Now I’m trying to remember what kills slugs... beer & salt I think. The thought of those slugs chowing down half a peanut out of the peanut butter is just weird. Do they swallow the peanut whole or just slime it to death?

What sour said. And some slugs and snails are cannibalistic. So smash a snail and keep an eye on what eats it.

Oh the bus is a crappy deal too. The dispatcher said I couldn't go to the grocery store later today because - he is only allowing people who have NO ONE to get groceries for them, to ride the bus. He said my brother can do it for me. He never met him.

My brother lives in another county, is legally blind in one eye , has a pacemaker, a d-fib thing, and an insulin pump. He's almost 70.- his health problems etc. makes him especially vulnerable to the covid virus. We've been looking after each other all our lives. We don't always get along but blood is thicker than water.
:barnie  Bad, bad bus driver.

But do as @BYC910 said. Call the dispatcher and explain.

Food is... kind of important!

Had a friend in college... she had been out on a date... was walking in from outside, had taken her shoes off, but was wearing hose.

:lau

She stepped on a slug, and the mesh of the hose kept the mashed slug up on her foot.

Never have seen a woman dance so crazy, or heard a woman scream so loud as the display I saw on that day.

She finally thrashed herself onto the ground and pulled off the hose... yep... in public.

morning ponders :caf
glad to see everyone is still alive and reasonably well. Welcome to the new swimmer.
Not much new on this end of the pond.
Loggers are finally going to attack our woods some time next week. That should be interesting. Under a winter weather advisory for later today/tonight. Been setting new records for cold past couple days so I guess it might as well snow too, sigh.
