Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

He showers everyday. It’s just standing up on end all crazy like that. He did gel it down one day & he looked like he was blown in from 1952. It didn’t look bad, but was so different looking we all kept staring at it. I’d take 1952 over Heat Miser any day.
Oooh!

1952!

I think that was my grandpa's hair... he gelled it... to get it to wave... and not move...ever.

Also, his cowboy hat didn't even crease his hair.

My dad... his hair was so limp... no worries.

In our small town it totally depends on where I shop whether or not I wear a mask. At the grocery store, none of the employees wear masks, and very few customers. (They also offer curbside and delivery service.) The hardware store employees are masked, and the owner requests that customers wear them as well. If I need to go to the hardware store for anything, I will wear one out of respect to his wishes. For school daycare, the adults are supposed to wear them anytime we’re with the kids. This does not make sense to me since the masks don’t protect me from the virus, but keeps me from spreading it. I am far more likely to get it from the kids than the other way around.
Interesting...

Here... the regular grocery store has the highest mask use... the bulk grocery store has way less.

Maybe you can offer to take your barber fishing.
I'm sure she'd love it; not so sure about DW, though ;)

Morning Pond, :(
Well, our state supreme court lost their minds. Late yesterday they ruled the governor's stay at home order (that was working, we were having some of the lowest numbers of any state) unconstitutional, declared it immediately unenforceable and threw it all out the window so we are now the only state with absolutely NO regulations or restrictions for covid 19 control.
several bars immediately opened of course.
Let the fun begin.
I will be found hiding under my lily pad for the immediate future. (and possibly beyond)

Altho I'm not one myself, I was raised around professional beauticians. My great aunt owned a huge beauty school in southern Michigan. I've done my own hair most of my life, even during the "big hair" days and I've been my DH's barber since we were dating so the hair thing is not an issue for us. Well, except for the really important times, then I will go to the beauty shop and pamper myself but to be honest I've rarely been completely happy with the results.
