Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

Morning Pondites I am here trying to get all business out of the way
baking bread making cookies all to stay in really is pain in the coop when the phone goes off

HOWDY :frow no time to catch up .been non stop for ever .Trying to get hay up .DD'S cat died saturday.Been dealing with her and DW crying .They are heart broke .Pets here get coffins,I make for graves I dig .So broke down tractors and balers take a back seat.DD just left for Cattanooga worried she will cry all the way home .The cat story .16 years ago I tore out a very old two sided fire place all the way to the ground. In its place now, is a walk in closet .Big hole in the floor.Put plastic over the hole .Some body dumped a long hair tabby cat .Very frendly ,and the kids named her Miss Puffball.Turns out she was pregnant. Also turned out she was bound to have her litter in our house, and tore through the well fastened down plastic .Then found her way to a cheap plastics shifrobe. There she gave birth .One male Screamer .Three females Funny Face Pointer and Fuzzy. And all four had really neat personalities. Miss Puffball made the mistake of getting in the shepherd pen .So the kittens were weaned early .My ten year old daughter kept them alive . Funny Face died at five or six from bobcat fever Screamer died two years ago from bobcat fever. Pointer is still alive .And Fuzzy well I just don't know. DW has worked hard for a week thought she was getting better. Not much for cats we tolarate each other. But the way it affected my wife and daughter is heartbreaking .So daddy drops everything to console my wife and baby girl .And in the middle of all this fix the AC on her car.So if anybody gots some boring time, they ain't using send it my way .While I go fix the tractor that is broke down in the hay field .

I know you’ll deny it, but you’re a freaking saint K.

One blind Silkie coop, completed. :yesss:

Grass doesn’t do well in this area, especially at this time of the year, so we’ll see what happens with that. I’m trying to water it at night after she goes to bed.

It will take her a few days to find her feet, but we tried to keep her food & water on the same side as it was in the house, & we’re still trying to bell train her.

The door is tall & wide & the ramp is flat so she can walk in & out freely without worrying that she will bump her head or fall. Yesterday she found her way into her hut all by herself. 😍 She doesn’t say much. I don’t know if that’s a normal silkie thing or not, but she’s got birds all around her & seems very content to hear them chatting.
