I just got a load of firewood logs a couple days ago; running a chainsaw in this heat is loads of fun.Very happy weekend Pondites,
How are us northern types supposed to get anything done in this heat and humidity?!?!?! I can get a whole lot more work done in a nice day in the 30's than this!!! We've been in the 80's with ridiculous humidity all week. We don't get Florida range humidity but we've had it all week. Coop needs a good turnout but it's just too darn miserable to get it done. How the heck do you southern types live in this??? Poor DH is falling behind on his stuff too. Everything thinks it's the tropics and growing like crazy. As soon as he gets done with a section section, the one he just cut needs it again. I actually had to take the string trimmer to the chicken run, the chicken run! Normal year I'm lucky if the chooks let anything but the buffalo grass even get a foothold in there. So much needs painting but it takes forever with this wet air for the wood to dry out and then when it's almost dry it rains again
Ok, I'm done whining. Thanks for letting me vent.![]()
Excellent price!!!!I just got a load of firewood logs a couple days ago; running a chainsaw in this heat is loads of fun.
Not only is firewood a lot cheaper when bought like that, but it's the only way I know to get specific lengths w/o paying a premium price. This load is supposed to be about 5 cords; I paid $350. At current price for a cord cut & split, anything more than 3 cords makes it a good deal.
Make sure no one gets heat stroke!Dripping on my lily pad. Just mowed the front lawn. 88F and humidity near that point too. Nuts, I know, but tomorrow we are going to a field trial - also nuts. Going to be too hot and humid, but it's a friend's home club, and they need the entries.![]()
