Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

Good afternoon pond paddlers,
we finally got a break or two in the weather here. At least it was cool enough so you could get things done in between the rain drops. Thankfully all the nasty stuff missed us again. First coat of paint on most parts of the coop complex, second coat on some of the doors. Couldn't believe how the price of paint has shot up! Good Grief! Got some roof patch spread on the front ramp while the DH took a short break. It should be set up good enough to lay down the new roll roofing tomorrow. The roll asphalt roofing has a self adhesive backing so it's easy to put down and it makes a nice non-slip protective cover for the ramp that stands up to years of snow/rain/hot sun abuse. Problem we had was that the original roll wasn't wide enough to cover the entire width so we just stuck it down the middle. It's still working just fine, the problem is the paint wasn't enough to protect the uncovered sides and the plywood overlay started to buckle. I knocked off the buckling/raised parts this morning with an ice spade and used the roof patch to fill in the holes I made, level the surface and waterproof the wood.
It's supposed to get hot and sticky again but no rain til Saturday p.m. so we have time. Good thing because we have to take the trailer to town in the morning. Just got the call that the new "shed in a box" came in. That's a project that can wait til the weather cools back down. Other chores need doing first. Can't believe we're looking at just a little over a month before our first chance for a freeze. The logging and the crazy weather has set us back on everything. At least the decision to just let the kitchen garden go to the chickens got us back some time for other things. We started the summer behind because of all the chores that didn't get done last year because of the power loss/damage clean up from the storm that hit us this same week last year and kept us rushing to clean up that mess before the snow. Pa is really slowing down this year. His age and a life of hard work is finally catching up to him. It's a good thing I'm finally doing a lot better than I have in years so I'm able to step up more and his male ego is finally letting me. ;)
Nice to hear!!

We are, as has been the norm for the last few years... just behind on oodles and letting all sorts of stuff just go...

The house trim has needed painting for maybe 5 years now... still not there.

hookin' up the trailer and heading out to go get the new garden shed I bought myself for my birthday with my census earnings :D
(DH's part of my gift is he gets to help me put it together  )
Whoot!

How big is it?

And I can't remember, did you say it is for tools, or for chickens?

I wouldn't call it lala land but sure beat being conscious. Actually it wasn't bad at all except I have very tiny veins and the IV needle bruised them beyond belief. I had a purple & red bruise about 3 inches across and 2 inches down. It's still visible 2 weeks later but much smaller.

After the procedure my brother took me out for lunch and then when I got home did some sleeping.

All done!

@drumstick diva I asked maybe 6 times, "you SURE, it was all normal? You SURE there was nothing at all wrong, or irritated or even tiny polyps, or diverticulitis...or ANYTHING??? No redness, no something??"

Answer is that my intestines are perfectly healthy without a single oddity or irregularity. :idunno

Best sleep ever with that anaesthesia. Nice stuff.

My throat is a bit irritated, I sound like a heavy smoker.... but that will pass.

And... I had some real food! Yum! Crispy breaded fish and ceasar salad followed by chocolate ice cream, strawberries, raspberries with angel food cake. :drool
