Prayers for Al and family. Too late for my 2 cents so I'll just say that my
"plan B" would have been entirely different anyone else's offered and
would have placed the ball squarely in their court.

A reception during Covid is just insane.
Check this out:
Our bowling league is starting again in a couple weeks. Masks required unless you're on the approach getting ready to deliver a ball; otherwise required when not eating or drinking.

So, for 3 straight hours we're in a relatively small building (only 10 lanes, plus kitchen, bar, and restrooms) with 40+ people constantly taking off & putting on masks. Just how effective you suppose those masks are going to be?

The team captain & I have decided to start the season late, like the 1st week of October, hoping it will get to the point where masks are no longer needed. Her 90+ year old mother lives with her, so she doesn't need to be carrying anything home to her. Then I've got my own medical concerns to think about.
