Sunday was a bummer as it rained off and on all day.

I had to watch and pick a time I could get out to the coop to care for my chickens.

The rain was coming in bands.

I would love some of the rain you’ve gotten. We’re in severe drought conditions here. Crops are starting to die.

We're getting the rain from the gulf.

We needed the rain as well, but it could slow down and go to another area where it is needed.

Looks like my garage cat, Aci. (Pronounced acey - DH named him. ACI stands for “Ain’t comin’ in!”) Aci is also a very sweet cat. He lives in the rafters of my garage. I found him out there one day last fall, half starved, but very tame. So, I fed him. For some reason he stuck around.

If you fed me, I’d never leave either. Heard you make a mean french toast.

Hope everyone had a joyous 4th of July!!
We’ve been working on rebuilding a camper, so we took a drive to Menards, about an hour away yesterday. Can’t wait till they open the store within 5 minutes of my house!!

Today, my momma White duck has hatched at least 2 ducklings. As of 9:00 a.m., none were hatched yet, but now I see at least 2.

Do you think i will EVER remember to write down... in a place that I remember and can find... the start date of incubation either under a broody or in an incubator?

Um….. no I don’t.

I’ll tell ya my secret. I take a pic when they start, and also when I see chicks hatch. Then I can refer back to my camera roll for set dates and hatch dates.
