Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

I don't know that I have time for diapers lol. I've made a few by request though. My goal is somewhere around 2,000 saddles (weather I get that many done or not :idunno) and maybe 100 tutus. I've sold so far this year maybe 150 tutus and about 1650 saddles. Saddles would've been higher but I kept running out lol. My mom already has a project lined up for me too.a friend of hers wants me to put together a couple t-shirt quilts for her kids for Christmas. Good thing they're only going to be small lap quilts!
I’m not a great seemstress. I just learned how to use the machine a few years ago. I’ve always wanted to make T-shirt quilts. The kids have been collecting their special ones for years in the hope that I’ll learn to do it. Do you need to do something special to the shirts before you start to see them?

Not that I know anything....

But I think the stretchy t-shirts do better if they are stuck on a non stretchy backing ..... what is that stuff called? People use it in quilting.....

Binding, backing, underlayment (nope, that is flooring).... hummmm.

You have to put interfacing on the backs of them. I like the iron-on stuff. It makes life so much easier. I've only done one t-shirt quilt so far. My mom and I tackled it for my dad as a surprise Christmas present. He couldn't believe that we had actually secretly done it ourselves and out of t-shirts he had told my mom to go ahead a throw away a few years earlier. He's not an emotional guy but there was an emotional moment there for sure! The whole thing was experimental but it turned out amazing!
