Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

Yes please! I need all the help I can get.

I can't find the recipe but from memory:

Preheat oven to 350°

Shred a block of extra firm tofu (I use a cheese grater)

Cook the tofu in a skillet with 1 bottle of Frank's red hot sweet chili sauce until the sauce is mostly absorbed

In an 8 x 8 baking dish, spread 1 container of Tofutti vegan cream cheese over the bottom (I believe it's 8oz) You can save a spoonful to mix in with the tofu if desired to make it creamier.

Dice 1/2 to 1 onion (depending on size) and spread evenly over Tofutti

Pour cooked tofu in the baking dish

Sprinkle the top with crushed tortilla chips

Bake at 350° for 20 minutes then crank up the heat to 400° for 5-10 minutes to crisp up the tortilla chip topping

Eat with tortilla chips

I have more vegan recipes but not tonight lol

I suppose it’s only right that I send her back. View attachment 2856581

I feel that anytime you find a spider you should send it to @sourland as it may be one of his kids.

Just come by to say goodbye to Ken. I know The Pond will miss him.:hugs

Long time no see.

How are you doing?

Are you still doing wood work, if so please send some pictures?

  • Apply a few drops of essential oil to problem areas to deter spiders. Lemon, garlic, rosemary, peppermint, clove, cedar and cinnamon oils are all thought to either repel spiders or kill them.
    • Lavender oil is a great spider repellent. You can sprinkle a dash of lavender oil in the spider dominated areas. Also, to avoid spiders from entering your house, just fill a flower vase with a little bit of water and add 5 drops of lavender oil to it. The aroma of lavender oil stops the spiders dead in their tracks and they will not enter your home.

In looking for ways to get rid of spiders I found an article that vinegar sprayed or wiped in the area where they are will get rid of them.

The ones I have in my house make a real sticky web that I had never seen before.

The meat in our freezer is chickens we have raised, venison we have gotten and processed ourselves or beef purchased from a neighbor that averaged just over $3/lb including processing. I have no idea what it costs in the store…

You are very lucky.

Hamburger meat is $5 per pound or higher.

When buying groceries without any meat the price is at least 50 per cent higher.
Good morning, Pond.

:sick

My sentiments exactly!

Morning Pond never could develop a taste for Tofu ..
Was raised on cattle ranch. Love milk .. Use half and half in my coffee..

I was raised in the mountains of West Virginia, "tofu is what".

I had not heard of tofu until long after I got married.

Yes I have tried it and that's all.

Ponders good morning one and all!

I have been out of sorts for several days.

Tuesday I worked outside making frames for windows for my coop.

Wednesday I was out delivering eggs, getting my nails done, and shopping for groceries.

Thursday I spent in the ER with my husband related to his pain from a fall last Saturday.

He had a CAT scan which was negative of fractures.

I feel his pain had peaked and now will get better -- we'll see!

Might make my lily pad today will try.

Have a great day!
