I would wait until after Thanksgiving, but I need to do it when I have the ability. I’ve taken too many falls, and live in pain that occasionally makes walking impossible. The dog spends the whole day outside on those days.

My family, growing up, left Christmas lights attached to the roofline all year. Thinking back, I'm amazed they continued to work year after year. Hmmm. Maybe my dad replaced broken bulbs? The mysteries of childhood.

@BullChick and @Alaskan this year I'll do some decorating, (I'll get the display out front up, maybe add to it a bit) but Sioux Falls son wants to hunt the tree in the woods when he gets here on the 23rd. So we will wait this year.

It’s very icy on my pad, and I keep sliding off. It doesn’t help that “someone” keeps laughing at me.

Mine did too. It's funny how over the years they faded from multicolored lights to pretty much white before they died lol
