Most definitely! But I have a big family. We could probably knock them out in about 3 meals if everyone gets 2.

Hello, Pond!
It’s tropical out on the prairie today. Hot, humid, barely a breeze. I venture out for short periods, then come back in, cool off and hydrate.

Look what I found when I went out to check my broody that was due to hatch tomorrow:

The other three eggs that were viable a week ago aren’t showing any signs of popping yet, but it’s still a bit early so we’ll see what happens. One of these was pipped yesterday evening, and hatched sometime during the night. The other one hatched today. I hope the other three make it.

This is my McMurray bonus bird. I’m suspecting Blue Andalusian, and a few people on the breed and gender thread think so as well. I was planning on keeping one of my meat birds as my flock rooster, but I love the looks of this guy! I hope he stays nice…. If I keep him, I may make a meat flock and a layer flock. We’ll see. First I have to keep the mink out of my coops this fall and winter…
