I have a sick 11 week old hen. I suspect coccidiosis (even though I fed medicated chick starter her first 8 weeks)
Any natural remedies suggested?
My research said some natural antibiotics might include garlic/ginger/oregano?

Why do you suspect coccidiosis? What are her symptoms? Do you have a picture of the chick in question?

Where do you live? How many other chickens and are they all the same age? Were the chicks brooded indoors? If so, at what age were they first put outdoors? When did they first touch grass?

If your chick does indeed have coccidiosis, it is best to get Corid straight away and not mess around with natural "remedies", as coccidiosis can kill/spread quickly and herbs etc. are not likely to be effective.

If your chick has coccidiosis, you should get some Corid (amprollium) right away. It is the same drug in the medicated feed. It works by mimicking thiamine (vitamin B1) and no B vitamins should be given while on Corid. Dosage is 2 tsp of the liquid or 1.5 tsp of the powder per gallon of water for 5-7 days. You will find it at most feed stores in the cattle medicines. It is very safe for the other chicks.

You need to get a thiamine inhibitor, not antibiotics, besides there's no safe amount of spices that would help without harming. The entire diet would have to be spices and the toxic and negative effects of them would be through the roof.
