Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

The handle on my dryer broke Saturday afternoon. Yesterday the dryer stopped working properly, the central air stopped working, and my stove/oven aren’t properly working.
My coffee machine is okay, and I have four backups. The microwave is okay, and I have a backup for that too. I have a bar refrigerator too (the 3’ high thing). :thumbsup
Gremlins?

Evil elves?

Chucky?

Good morning, Pond. Off to the doctor to discuss the results of my bloodwork.
Good morning! I hope your appointment goes well, Sour.

After being sick all week (Covid finally caught up with me), I’m starting to feel human again! Symptoms started on Monday. By Tuesday it was all I could do to drag myself out of bed in the afternoon. Finally got up, made it to my recliner and slept even more. Today I feel like I can actually do things. After two years of exposures where I *should have* gotten it, plus working in a Petri dish, this came out of nowhere. I’m sure we picked it up somewhere during our travels. (DH showed symptoms two days before I did.) Thankful to be on the mend.

Not much else happening here on the prairie. Broody and her two babies are doing well. I did drag myself to the coop Monday evening or sometime on Tuesday (I don’t remember) to find that she and the two chicks had left the nest. The other three eggs had chicks in them, but still a lot of yolk and veins. Like they were maybe a couple of days behind the hatched ones. Not sure how that worked since they were all set at the same time.

Wow! How am I not surprised at this. Truly a vacation to remember. :thGlad you’re in the upside of it now.

Good luck!

I always fear when I give blood that they’ll realize I’m really an alien disguised as a human all these years & call in the military.

If there’s an official looking man in uniform (or someone holding a big white jacket with lots of buckles) RUN!!!

I did adopt a new black pug about a month ago, but that’s not him in the pics.

This is Riley. He was a starving, Mexican refugee that a rescue found near death. He spent some time in the hospital then DH & I brought him home.

He’s a sweet boy, a little feral, only knows the couple words of English he’s picked up here during the last month. He’s a total menace, but I love him.

He looks a lot like a vintage pug. Longer legs, snout not so compact that you can’t get into the folds.

He almost looks dignified in the top and bottom pictures. Not so much the middle one…
