Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

He almost looks dignified in the top and bottom pictures. Not so much the middle one…
I’ll spare you the pictures of him standing on the console of the car eating clumps of my hair while I drive.

I still drive safely under those conditions, but I can’t afford to loose any more hair. I had to buy him a seat belt that keeps him in the back seat. 🙄

I did adopt a new black pug about a month ago, but that’s not him in the pics.

This is Riley. He was a starving, Mexican refugee that a rescue found near death. He spent some time in the hospital then DH & I brought him home.

He’s a sweet boy, a little feral, only knows the couple words of English he’s picked up here during the last month. He’s a total menace, but I love him.

He looks a lot like a vintage pug. Longer legs, snout not so compact that you can’t get into the folds.

God smacked them so hard. Yes he is not perfect but none of us are right?

Good luck!

I always fear when I give blood that they’ll realize I’m really an alien disguised as a human all these years & call in the military.
They haven't caught me --- yet.

AC is up and running. :celebrate

Chest X Ray today. Talked doctor into B - 12 test and shot (just for the heck of it) Call it placebo effect, but I feel more like 'ME' than I have in months. Oh, for such a simple fix.

Good morning! I hope your appointment goes well, Sour.

After being sick all week (Covid finally caught up with me), I’m starting to feel human again! Symptoms started on Monday. By Tuesday it was all I could do to drag myself out of bed in the afternoon. Finally got up, made it to my recliner and slept even more. Today I feel like I can actually do things. After two years of exposures where I *should have* gotten it, plus working in a Petri dish, this came out of nowhere. I’m sure we picked it up somewhere during our travels. (DH showed symptoms two days before I did.) Thankful to be on the mend.

Not much else happening here on the prairie. Broody and her two babies are doing well. I did drag myself to the coop Monday evening or sometime on Tuesday (I don’t remember) to find that she and the two chicks had left the nest. The other three eggs had chicks in them, but still a lot of yolk and veins. Like they were maybe a couple of days behind the hatched ones. Not sure how that worked since they were all set at the same time.

Got to ask.... have you now sworn off all vacations? :pop

Like @room onthebroom should never touch electronics, and you should never go on vacations.... just sayin' :old

My extended family is having their annual reunion right now.

I can’t believe it was exactly this time last year that I was stewing about going/not going & came home with a covid souvenir (that’s still making my life unusual.) It feels like it was just a couple months ago.

I feel both guilty & relieved that I’m not there, but we have two family weddings this year so that made the decision to sit this one out easier.

Sour, good job on your trip to the Dr. :yesss::woot
Who’s a good boy? Yes you are!

Need to scrape the tables wanted to give me a hen.

On my way home today, Friday traffic was getting pretty thick so I waved to the person trying to get out of the gas station to pull out ahead of me. They frantically waved “no” out the window then repeatedly pointed toward the left. I assumed this meant that they were trying to make a left.

:idunno

I find this funny because there’s a little stick to left of that guys steering wheel that will magically tell every car within a three hundred sixty degree radius what his intentions are. It doesn’t take much effort, just raise one of the fingers on your left hand & you can make this miracle happen. 🙄
