Good evening you guys! I know it's been awhile... It has been busy over here at tiny plot Homestead. We've had babies hatching left and right, turns out I'm pregnant again :th my husband's in the middle of switching jobs, I just got a bunch of chickens, and so much more lol! But I have a question for you guys. I hatched out lavender Ameraucanas. They are purebred, so they're not Easter eggers. Do y'all think $15 a chick is too much? There is maybe one or two other people in South Carolina that I know of that sell them. And most of the hatcheries charge anywhere from $15 to $40 a chick! But I swear, I have gotten some of the meanest comments.

Meanest comments? Because you posted them for sale on Facebook.... or some such.... and those people want the chicks for free??

$15 a chick, LOCAL and NOT shipped, is awesome for a rare breed and color! If they don't like it, they could just NOT buy the chicks.

I find some of the comments on Facebook amazing. People trying to argue that rental prices should be incredibly low.... etc....

If no one buys the chicks at $15 each... wait until you grow them out... then you can sell the pullets as point of lay pullets at $30 each.

Huge congrats on the new baby to be... always fun! :clap
