Well, last year I had the sump pump spider to intrigue me. This year it's a little brown spider who has made her web between the kitchen window above the sink and the screen. So far she has had 3 egg masses which hatched into a 'cloud' of little spiders. Yesterday she tore down her old web and constructed a new larger web. Wonder if she is working on her next batch of eggs.
We just happened to be talking about spiders this morning. (She is unaware of the 'window' spider), and I told her that ants and spiders are among the most populated creatures, and that there were probably 500 in our house. She responded, "No way" and I mentioned the sump pump spider and her 500 kids. When asked if I had killed them, I responded, "Of course not." I then gave a nature lecture on the number of spiders in the world. This was our enlightening 'bed talk' this morning. She is such a lucky woman.I’m telling Princess you let 75+ spiders into her house.
Each batch hung like a little cloud around their egg case for a couple of days, and they then dispersed. 'Mom' did not provide food, and they did not eat her.Did you catch and of the new baby window spiders?
Sing them lullabies, or bake them sweets??
I keep trying to downsize. My birds are working against me.
And..... where are they now??Each batch hung like a little cloud around their egg case for a couple of days, and they then dispersed. 'Mom' did not provide food, and they did not eat her.
