I just told the kids how great it would be for 1 to serve at the altar and the other 4 will do 4 part harmony for all the services for Christmas.

:lau

Kid#4 already texted back and said, "oops, forgot to say I am sick on that day" :lau

Don't worry, if I tell them that they need to sing, they will sing. :D

Well... smack me!

WHEN will I learn to not wait until so close to a holiday to go grocery shopping?!??!!

Almost zero eggs, only two choices: medium size dozen, or fancy organic brown dozens... and those eggs were at the bulk food store in town.... regular food store had zero eggs.

Zero white chocolate, bars or chips or anything.... zero gluten free quinoa noodles, only the nasty brown rice ones...

Zero crispy english muffins

Zero pre-made peppermint bark.

Zero large dried sausage

Zero high quality semi-sweet chocolate chips

Zero gluten free wafer cookies

Also, I wanted a nice looking "green". I only got green onions... the spinich looked a bit brown and wilty... there were some decent looking dandelion greens... but I wasn't so sure that spouse would go for that.... and the rest looked pretty blah...

DIL was at Aldi at a larger town today, hoping to get taco fixings for Grandson’s birthday tomorrow. She found tortillas and taco seasoning. She said there were no dairy products at all, except for one kind of milk. No cheeses of any type, no yogurt, no cottage cheese, no eggs. I was thinking maybe it was due to the three day snow storm we had last week, interrupting the supply chain, but now I don’t know. Mom and I stopped at Walmart yesterday, and there were no eggs there, either. No wonder my coworkers are snapping up my eggs as fast as I can squeeze them out of the chickens! (It’s been so long since I have purchased eggs from the store, I have no idea of prices or supply.)
