The wind is whipping like crazy here. We're supposed to go from 36° to -3° by 5pm... birds aren't going to be happy today! I just hope no trees come down on anything. They can fall in the woods all they want though.
So much for the "We're all gonna' die!" storm of the century (at least up here). A balmy -9 F and some of the fluffy stuff being moved from our rooftops to areas we shoveled yesterday. Windchills probably going to get to -25 to -35 later today. I feel sorry for the +35 in Florida today, poor folks aren't used to it, but up here? What we're havin' so far is called WINTER! It's so horrible here right now that they just announced all the snowmobile trails and ski hills are opening today
My lily pad is slightly submerged - lots of rain so far and it's still coming down. We really dodged a bullet. Had this been snow it would be significant. Temperatures dropping into the single digits tonight. Time to hunker down.
Good morning pond! Long time no talk! I've been so busy! I'm now 24 weeks pregnant, about to move, I haven't even wrapped all the gifts, and today is so cold that my daughter has given me many looks of disapproval Stay warm y'all!
Hello, Pond!
It’s a bit blizzardy here. County plows have been pulled, and in town the clinic has closed, there is no mail delivery, and most of the businesses have closed. I’m happily hunkered down here at home. Current temp is -7 with a “feels like” of -35. We didn’t get a lot of snow, but what we have is fluff. The kind that blows around if you so much as sneeze outside. So our 35 mph sustained winds (with much higher gusts) are really moving it around. It’s a perfect day to listen to Christmas music and get ready for the family to come.
If I don’t check in later, may you all have a safe, blessed Christmas!
Good morning Pond Rare ice storm here, no one leaves their lily pad.
Birds will not walk on it. Highways shut down stupid people will try to drive on it.
Cars cannot ice skate well nothing can.
