Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

Good Morning, Pond!

After a weekend of deer hunting (no deer yet, but the season is open through next Sunday), and spending time with two grandsons and their parents, it’s time to head back to work.

Al, I hope you’ve been able to solve your heating problems.

Happy Monday, Everyone! Wishing you all a great week.
Well.... uh.... not really!

New stove was put in... almost killed us..

And it turns out... you are supposed to BREAK IT IN!!! so... 4 times... low fire, let it cool all the way down... slightly hotter fire... let it cool ALL the way down...

4 times!

Took 2 days to get to use it for heat!!! We finally have it working now, but, it is taking some time to get the house all the way back up to a good temp.

And NO, we still haven't figured out the fuel oil heater that heats the bedroom side! I refuse to call a repair guy, wer have spent enough money! Phewy!

I think we can figure it out... just, we have been crazy busy.

And... drum roll.... the temps have finally dropped! Ew.

At what point do we have to do that? I sometimes have 7/8 level pain in the one shoulder, but it's not continuous. Worse at night and when I wake up and lessens during the day. I've let it become the new normal.
Mine is constant pain. Can't sleep without full dose of both advil and Tylenol. When the drugs wear off I wake up.

The pain in my shoulder is bad enough that it is making the rest of me over-tense and do bad things. So, for the first time ever my sciatic nerve is getting pinched. That is lots of pain too. Can be so I can't stand or sit.... but, if I work hard at stretching out my back, I can get it, after about 3 days, to ease back down.

MRI was last week... turns out I have 3 things wrong with my shoulder....

I have an extreme level of inflammation. That is what is causing the constant pain.

I have a bump on the end of the shoulder bone, that is pushing down on a small tear... and that is why it feels like my arm is being pulled out of the socket.

And... all the pain and inflammation has caused inflammation and thickening of the bursa sack which is "frozen shoulder" and is causing avreduced range of motion and severe pain with movement. Oh, and also... all of the above is causing a bunch of adhesions.

Jolly, jolly.

The pain is so high I simply can NOT relax those muscles... no matter what I try, or how many drugs I take.

So... the hope is that the steroid shot will reduce the inflammation.

The reduced inflammation should be enough to keep that bone bit from pressing down on the muscle tear... so then the tear will be able to heal... if not, then I get surgery to scrape off the extra bone bit.

The reduced inflammation will hopefully reduce the pain enough so that I can both relax the muscle and move the arm better to break through the adhesions and work through/fix the frozen shoulder issues.
