Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

Morning Pond,
Just paddling through as I get ready for work. We’ve gotten off to a great start this year. My student has been taking very good care of me. Opening doors, not letting me do any lifting (my student is a Super Senior so instead of going to classes we do jobs around the school and go downtown to work at various businesses for an hour a day). One of our jobs at school is to refill the pop in the concessions cooler. Whenever I try to help by moving a case of pop I get told, “No. You a lady. You don’t lift. Me big and strong. I lift.” 🙂 So I let Big and Strong lift. When I told Mom how pampered I’ve been, she said, “Good! We’ve been working on that!” Dad is doing a good job.

The weather is finally feeling more fall-like at night. It’s good sleeping weather - we have the windows open. (The only problem with that is when the traveling coyote chorus decides to serenade us several times in a night.)Daytime is still warm, but not hot.

Have a great day everyone!
Great update on the student!

Will the program help him find a job that he is good at?

My eldest son has some "issues" and I have family that simply does NOT understand at all!!!

It amazes me, how unsympathetic they can be to his feelings, and how they don't even want to bother trying to see things from his point of view.

Point being... he was at my sister's for 3 weeks... incredible disaster....

He is now somewhere else, where he is doing wonderfully.

But the sis he was with, and my mom... are all "he clearly has vitamin/mineral deficiency from his poor diet, also he should be tested for heavy metal poisoning"

Hopefully. His main job At school right now is in the dishwashing area of the kitchen. His job is to make sure all the clean dishes are dry and put them away. It’s our second year doing that. It would be great if it could work into a regular job once he ages out of school.

Sigh… it’s hard when family just doesn’t get it, or try to.
