Temp here finished at 73.

Well... I didn't give warning...

But I had major abdominal surgery yesterday morning.

It went well.

But doc gave me way more restrictions than I thought I was getting.

For 6 weeks

No standing for more than 30 minutes.

Avoid walking on uneven ground (so... almost everywhere)

And yes, I get a walker for 6 weeks

Al! I’m glad your surgery went well. Praying for a speedy and uncomplicated recovery. (And by “speedy”, I don’t mean you going out and doing things you shouldn’t before restrictions are off. Just that things heal as they should, when they should, and that you don’t have too much discomfort.)

Glad it went well. Mind the doctor, it's for the best. Wow, 6 weeks. I'm sure you'll be getting antsy before it's over. Take care of yourself, you have a bunch of critters to look after.

Surgery was Wednesday... here it is Friday, and i am already ready to bash my head against a wall.

Pre-surgery i was told that after it would just be "no strenuous activity". It turns out that strenuous activity is picking things up off the floor... and standing ... STANDING????




This is going to be an insanely long 6 weeks.

Sorry yes it will not be overnight wave a wand.
DH wanted a wand to wave today did not get one either.
He had a bad bladder infection the Dr fixed that with 2 heavy duty antibiotics. He also had a bug that will sit many years do nothing.
This other bug is hard as get out to be rid of.
Needs to be IV do not think if you wait till Friday they will not be able to start.

Oh boy. We’re going to have to find ways to keep you entertained or distracted… Just think - by Sunday it will only by 5 1/2 weeks!

Kid #4 said he thinks that college students probably do think that 30 minutes of constant standing IS strenuous.
