Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

And didn't read the rule book about not mixing chicks with large age gaps!

I have 10 week to 5 month in the same grow out pen.

Awww!!

Dang, they seriously are almost bigger than the 4 week olds!!

And the potato chip box hideout is awesome!! Glad I ain't the only one that does things like that...

They are the same size as some of the EE / BLH cross gals for sure. They like to sunbathe on top of the box as well as hang around inside. That and a few tree branches so they can perch and mess around - job done. I'm a classy kinda guy, as you can see

Top notch!!

My main grow out pen is made of panels meant for temp pens for selling at a flea market... those and the netting all held together by baling wire and zip ties... feeders and waterers are old milk jugs zip tied to the sides of the fence... an extra large dog house and blue plastic 55 gal drum cut lengthwise for housing... trailer park for chickens would be an upgrade, mine don't have wheels on their houses! :lau

But thats making use of whats around - its amazing what one can do with it. I have to laugh when i see those fancy chicken houses that peeps have. They look great and i get it, if one has it in a twee little garden but the cost would put me in an early grave

The pen and the coop that i did recently are the only things that were not sourced from the garden - don't think the chickens could give two hoots to be honest. Another touch of class

Theoretically a look, no touch set up in the main coop. Actually, they are there just so they know where to sleep, so i don't have to chase them around the garden

Come tonight they will roost with the others and deal with tomorrow in their own sweet way (it helps that they are twice the size of my existing chickens)

True... we use what we can get and the chickens aren't perusing interior decorating magazines or RentACenter furniture flyers! :lau Those cute coops are cute... but just tiny and so limiting... for the price tag I can go much bigger and more functional for our needs for sure...

Feed bags always come in handy! :thumbsup

So does shipping wrap! :gig

Ask K... he brought me loads of it when we first met in person... that's the heavy tarp stuff they wrap loads of lumber up with when they haul it to lumber distribution centers... ducks pen is covered with it right now... :D
