Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

I got a final tally on the pips/zips, there's 9 there's also 9 out which means that 18/20 eggs so far have life.

So what do you think? Roo? Pullet? Supposed to be a LF Cochin, but I don't know. He/she is smaller than my EE chicks that are the same age. Planning on asking the Gender ID board, but wanted Pond opinions first.

cockerel
sorry Dan :hugs

X3

Definitely a cockerel!

I neither confirm nor deny that I learned that, while I can double the pumpkin fudge recipe, I can't successfully triple it, the night before a church function

:gig

she's been pecking at food the last couple nights but has not eaten anything until today. She's been on amoxicillin for 8 days now. Monday is day 10. I believe I will stop medicating on day 10 (20 doses) and see how she is.

Soundslike a plan... glad she is getting better... :)

I think the pond should be renamed - "Dan's hatch-a-long" :lau

:smack

agreed! BUT how many eggs do i need to hatch to make sure i get all of those and are female :lau  my husband would kill me!
at least a dozen of each
Hatch and sell or eat the extras!
I just imagine if we where married, 2 crazy chicken people like us, this would be the house that we where living in! :lau

Looks like a cockerel to me. How old is it?

Also, cochins mature slower, right? And EEs I think mature fairly fast so that could be why he looks so much smaller!

But with the size of those wattles already I say definitely boy

So sorry again :(
