That's sad for sure. She always seemed upbeat even when she was having so many issues with her husband. Wonder what become of him.

No idea about her husband. He seemed to be very dependent on her. Perhaps their children took him in?

I miss Karen's great smile and joyfulness in the face of so much hardship too!!

Even at her age she still seemed to enjoy taking care of her chickens.
