Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

I need a wetsuit here... or more aptly, a mucksuit... :/
X2! Thawing out is good, but drizzle on top of it is making muck
Such a cute shot! :frow (and so sorry about Merlin) :hugs
Gonna sell my Eco 20. If interested just PM me. I can say with certainty that I no longer need it! Rock solid temp, divider rails, manual.
Tempting...but I really don't need another either! :( Still figuring out the cabinet, but hubby says changing out the controller would be difficult. Might have to catch him gone sometime and tap into it. :D
I would not have wished the eco 20 I had to a friend. It was a nightmare. Rarely had good hatches with it. Girl who bought it did not seem to care. I think it was the manual adjustments and temp swings in my house really. The sportsman all digital does fine and the Incuview is doing great
Glad the incuview is doing well, @Laurel Meadows seems to be liking hers too, last I heard!

Hi everyone!

If any of you are bored, ChickenCanoe wrote some very good posts in this thread:
https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/1153865/i-need-help-to-start-a-chicken-farm-ministry
Read it and was going to get on my soap box on the topic here, but i fear that i'd have fallen asleep writing it before you guys would, reading it

Id read it....  Were you talking about micro loans?

deb
Nope. Straight cash donations. Research being done by Harvard (or some other Ivy League Uni and funded by UK development agency) in Kenya is the leading literature on the topic.

The whole thing seems like a logistical nightmare, and very expensive. Where in Pakistan does one get feed for poultry? Where/how would one store the feed so that it would not attract rats and mice? Seems like one one want to get these sort of problems sorted before even thinking about raising livestock.:idunno

To be honest, while the logistics are an issue - that kind of approach is so flawed it's shocking
