you've lost me on that one

Figured you looked past the ducklings to the background.

So, my Wellsummer chick with the injured wing.....I moved her in with the Walnut sized OEGB. She's definitely getting more peace, away from all the rough housing going in in the larger brooder, she's not limping but not sure if it's her leg or foot or wing. She's just laying down most of the time. She seems a little better. And I've seen her fly, her right wing droops most of the time. She's eating and drinking fine though. She's a gentle little thing, I hope she makes it.

Hmmm... hope she's ok! Maybe a shot of Nutridrench if you have some?

actually, no. I'd have been tempted to say something like "lucky lings" had that been the case

tend to keep dirty talk to animals these days - possibly more worrying

Well, Lacie goose is definitely broody. I was hoping she wouldn't do that since there weren't any eggs left in the nest but she had other ideas! Jasmine gifted her with an egg, it seems, so she can keep and hatch it. But now collecting the new eggs that Jasmine lays is going to be very interesting. Lacie's really sweet and doesn't mind me reaching under her at all but I don't like to disturb her. Now I get to play the game where I try to catch her off the nest to do the collecting. Geese are such great birds. I've seen both Jasmine and Willow 'helping' Lacie with her brooding. They both go into the nest to keep her company, and they and Finn stand guard outside the nest watching over her. Jasmine likes to hiss at me when I approach the nest to try to warn me off. Silly bird doesn't scare me. Finn doesn't bother me at all, he's a very nice gander.
Oh, how awesome!!
It sure was kicking up a stink! Having released feral cats before, I've perfected the art of opening the spring door with a couple of sticks, so my hands were nowhere near :) Sorry to hear about your little call that decided to give up on life :hugs Here's a pic of my completed portable and adjustable roost. I just need to shave a bit off the edges of the 2" wood roost beams and I'm done. The bits of wood you see were only to get the sizing correct. I made it coz my shed / coop is likely to fall down soon, so I can move and play with the length of the roosts and in which run I want to put it.
Nice work, Chris!!! :thumbsup
