Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

ETA: okay, can't resist...doesn't it depend on the types of females hanging around Dan's place??
Not sure, but Dan has feelings for his boar so I think it's best left at that

I had a piebald grow up on my property. Watched him over about 4 years, then he disappeared. Never heard if someone shot him or what.

I think 2012 was the first year we saw him as a fawn. Watched him grow over the years, his rack never grew more than tall spikes. Never branched into full antlers.
Researched them and they usually have lots of health issues, but he got around very well. Had stubby short legs, especially after he got fattened up.
We saw another one a couple years ago with not as much white. Just a large patch on a back hip. But only saw it one or maybe two seasons.

I about a piebald site many years ago.... Before cell phones. I didn't realize it till I noticed her legs were white.... White white.
The health issues are why Michigan finally said it was okay... In fact preferable to shoot them. They are a strain on a healthy gene pool.... But they are pretty.

Should be soon then, give or take... Lday Grey started at 5 months, Crash at 7 months... most of LG's daughters around 6 months or so...
there was an egg on the floor of the coop yesterday, i got excited for a second, but alas, it was a chicken egg that someone kicked out of the laying box

Afternoon all! I've got Call ducklings on the way! Have my first external pip and some internal pips. Also have draw down on my goose egg this morning so it's thinking about making an appearance in the next few days too.

Now I have to go buy tweezers because somehow I've lost my hatching tweezers and I will probably need them with these Calls.
