Well Deb, at the moment it's raining like heck and power will likely desert us very soon. Long rains are a blessing, but not in town. I've lived in a few places in Africa - all have their good and bad points, like anywhere I guess. It's a boring story as to why I ended up here, but it's where I'm happiest.
Don't wait too long thinking about coming - just come (but not Kenya cos of security issues - Tanzania is best if you want the safari experience- for gorillas try Rwanda).
Eggsy, you are doing poor Sour no favours at all. Get your car sorted n did some baking for DH?
Car is all fixed. it was a camshaft indicator switchie thingie contact that was dirty.
We were still out of gas, but we had enough to get the three blocks to the station.
And because it wasn't his fault he doesn't get the brownies.
I know that doesn't make any sense. but think about how he feels. He has endured me for 32 years almost. Either he gets it, or he fakes it.
it's time to take a dip.
Eggsy - I think that he must "understand" you for sure after that long. Still doesn't mean you're not as mad as a hatter though
Glad you're happy there! That's what counts. Tanzania sounds good. You ever been to Madagascar?
Reckon we should start a DH support group
Nah, in fact I've only ever worked in places in Africa - not been for pleasure (with the odd exception) anywhere really. - family is is in the UK so that's the only place I go these days
Wow, that's a haul. How long does it take to get to the UK from where you are?
Not too long, just 7.5 hours to the Netherlands n then 45 mins to the north of the U.K. Could be worse
Good, not as bad as I thought. Has your family ever been able to visit you there?
