About to start DW has experience managed a vets office for a long while .She has started teaching me what to look for . If the slides and solution get here today with the microscope , We'll start tomorrow . I wish I had got a microscope with a USB camera built in . but it was a $100 dollars more . With the microscope and slides and solution I've spent about $215.00 . All off ebay . Could have gone used a or mono and been around a hundred . I never thought I'd excited about playing with chicken poop.

Yeah we men all know how it works we jus won't admit it . Dignity and all

I'm doing the same thing on a cheaper level. I tried a homemade fecal solution using Epsom Salts but I'm not sure it's working right. I'll be ordering a "fecalyzer kit".

I think I'm leaning female now, but I'm still not positive SDW. Was trying to find pics that SunH## (can't remember the user name) posted on one of the OEGB threads. I think there are a couple colors that look like SDW at hatch, but I can't remember what they are. Maybe Ravyn remembers... I'll keep looking for that chart.

Hmmmm, wonder where you could readily find fertile eggs??

I've got it... tell Mark you need to check Donald's fertility, then you could sell eggs for hatching, but you have to test them first!

Are you just doing this to check your own flock?

Wonder if one could get certified in some way to perform such tests?
