The OFH is great, some wonderful folks there. They can get a little....um... "wordy" with the posts, and I get too far behind from skimming.

Yea, I'm on a mobile too, don't have a computer at the moment. Ours died.
So I log on in the morning and pop in n out periodically then log out when I go to bed. lol and I still miss stuff!

I have a high nickel 400 block and nodular crank that would make a great start. I need to clean out a lot of parts and could put together a package for you if you'd want to come downstate.

I have a 400 here already..... my problem is i have several to choose from..... I'm just trying decide going with an older carb engine. Or pulling the Vortec 5.7 out of my 97 GMC.....i think it would be sweet to have the modern fuel injection..... plenty of reliable horsepower.
And I wouldn't worry about driving a long distance with it.
