One problem it's 100+F nine months of the year here. I think the ones that would do best would be Pineywoods
I enjoy it. Usually it's 100F May or June to September, the other four are usually closer to upper 80s mid 90sWow, That's a long time at 100 degree plus temps. I feel for you.

A hundred for one cow?! Wow. I think we can get about a cow every two acres or so. Brangus are quite common around here. So a gorgeous bull yesterday. Here it takes a hundred acres to feed a cow.... and temperature wise about the same only it cools off at night. One Gal here raises Brahma Crosses. She says they do very well in the heat. And they handle rough forage as well.
I dont know if this is a possiblity but if there are any brewerys around spent beer grain is a good feed.... Offered here for around 20 bucks a barrel... you bring your own barrel. Chickens love it goats love it...
All I know about cattle is anecdotal.... I listen when people talk about their critters. Lots can be said for sitting in the feed store and chatting with people.

I know some people that are real good with hydroponics.....Well there's always the pioneer method. He could just follow the stream . It's got to bubble out from somewhere .
Well yes I did .The hard part was getting the Honda tied on the sewing thread .And then wait for it to raise it's tiny little head high enough to rope it . Must have been an old maggot cause that took forever .
You know somebody gotta want a present to make it worth wrapping
Nice of the King to visit us commoners now and then
Just so you know you were talked about while you was away .
I don't know why but I just thought of a Elton John song
I'm thinking the flashing lights might just give away your position
Well when you get the gopher wood and figure of cubits and well started. I'll start rounding up the animals . I'm pretty sure the poultry part will be easy and the monkeys are a sure thingI know we won't have any trouble locating a couple of jackass's
But on the rain issue maybe you should think about raising rice this year in the garden . Or we could just go all hydroponics . DW wants me to plant some corn. I'm thinking of throwing the seed on the wet soggy ground and see what happens .More rain coming this way by the end of the week
There is a bright side however fish bite good in the rain too. If you get enough you can fish off the porch
Hang in there Phil its got to stop sooner or later .
I know that.... I didn't know what the other one was.... but I already take morphine for pain.flexerol is a muscle relaxor
