I saw that in the original, but couldn't figure out what it was

There wasn't a pinecone in the original, lol. Just a blurry foreground stick and then the stick off to the right.

Wake up, Lady! Your dog knocked that drink over intentionally, knowing he was sure to get the rest of whatever was in it. He's playing you.

She knocks everything over if not with her tail, then with her nose. All she got out of it was water. That's like 90% of what i drink. The cat also is a pro at knocking stuff over. Last night it was the alarm clock and my C Pap machine.

What I'm talking about had flecks of gold in it

Side note, can anyone else not use the 'existing attachments' function when uploading pictures? I can click on them but it does nothing at all.

What do you guys think of this picture as a calendar entry?

I'm going to go snap some more pictures Tuesday but I think so far this is my favorite.

I like it. The background is a bit weak on colour and she has a funny expression on her face, but it's a clear, well focused image in a good pose and would be worth entering unless you've got better.

Calendar images tend toward roosters and broodies so images of those two subjects gives you an edge, IMO. Roosters have an awe factor that makes an instant impact on the person rating. Due to the large amount of entries they have to rate fairly quickly, the first impression counts. Broodies tug on the heartstrings and usually get second looks as well.

Good for you. I usually take upwards of 500 images in a session and delete most of them. Even then, it might take me months to get an image I like. Hopefully you'll have better luck than I do.
