Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

You know, I questioned myself on whether I overreacted... but I went back after Pyxis posted the page numbers, and nevermind... I stand by my actions... she was dogging on you hard... the last one was just the final straw... :(

Initially I thought that all was in good fun, but then ----WTH

I've got pretty broad shoulders and a sturdy back for an old guy, but the support of friends was greatly appreciated. Sorry that someone should get offended when no offense was meant.

And I'm apparently a cute pitbull bouncer... ;)

That was just one of the times... :(

Never anything wrong with defending a friend! If it's not warranted, then it wouldn't matter. it would just be laughed away. That didn't happen in this case, so apparently it was warranted. :highfive:

It was definitely not apropos on her end, but I suspect it touched a nerve from her past. I've seen others that reacted the same way to a simple statement and usually it stems from truly sad situations endured.

We give fair warning, it's all we can do... that and stick together... ;)

She definitely belongs at the Pond - she's special indeed.

Indeed...

Have you been taking lots of pics? What's been your favorite part of the trip so far?
We are staying in our camper at my sister/friend's place (we're both only children and adopted each other in Jr. High as "sisters") Most of our time has been spent down at the river salmon fishing. OK, DH has been doing most of the fishing. I've been down there "yakking away" as DH says. I love meeting people and getting acquainted with them, listening to their stories... We'd been fishing with one guy for about 2 1/2 weeks - never met him before - and he offered to take us Halibut fishing! So, the next day we headed out on the ocean with this couple who's last name we didn't even know, caught some Halibut, AND... they didn't want any of it, so we're going home with about 75 lbs. of Halibut! He wanted to show his appreciation to us for sharing the good spot at the fishing hole with him... So yeah - I'd say meeting people has been my favorite part. Now that our freezer is full, and we have about 60 pints of canned salmon and a bunch of dried salmon, we're going to do a few day trips from here and do a little sight seeing on the way home.

I agree. She did mention verbal abuse in her past. I get that. She also chose to jump into the Pond, though. I guess when one comes into the middle of a game, they need to play by the rules already established, and take their ball and go home if they feel they don't like the game.
