I'm the same way! I clean house to get it clean... There's no way to clean to keep it clean!
Besides, I'd rather be in the barn!

Under Tn. state law if the damage is 75% or more of the value of later model vehicles. The Insurance co. must total the car . It can be repaired and a salvage title issued . If you can find an insurance that will give you full coverage after that your lucky .

Wow that stinks . When East T, burned last year the smoke traveled all the way across the state 435 miles .

Okay that makes sense....I seriously bet I could put that car back on the road for a couple hundred dollars.... If just need to pick up a donor vehicle.... Old Grand Prix go cheap....I sold my wife's for $400 it was high miles but had a good front clip.
I have a friend who could paint it cheap.... But at the same time I have a lot of friends in the business and can do the work myself.
But I do agree on her situation the car isn't worth going to get and have hualed home.
But yeah once you have a salvage title you cannot get full coverage... But I haven't had full coverage on anything except my motorcycle .....

Spent my life at the barn... from the age of about thirteen.... the boarding stable was within walking distance. Kept me out of trouble.... but I guess what my mother didn't know didn't hurt her.

My first car was a stick at sixteen years old I paid for half... Four hundred for a Corvair Spider.... Dad was influential in the choice.... LOL.

That was in 1970... He taught me how to change a tire, change a serpentine fan belt, and change the oil. Also how to drive a stick on a transmission that had almost a one foot Throw....

He taught me how to slide into a turn and recover... and how to push start, and jump start... and how to move the car using only the starter motor.

I learned how to throw it sideways to stop too... He didnt teach me that one.... saved my life

when I was seventeen my grandma declaired that Ralph Nader deemed the Corvair was dangerous. She and grandpa bought me a brand new Pinto... Wish I had kept the Corvair.

I have, sometimes a bit larger, even; in WI. Doesn't make a lick of sense to me, though, since the growing season is a lot shorter there than here.

Less fishing pressure....I remember growing up downstate in the Detroit metro area.... The freaking amount of people fishing the same lakes.... Like Union Lake and such was crazy.
The only way to get around it was to go fish the Detroit River.... Lake Erie and big places like that.... The walleye fishing on Lake Erie was awesome..... But you here it's more common to be the only boat on the lake.
Last night there was only a pontoon boat on the lake....a lot of people are fishing Bluegills.... They are convinced that the walleyes are gone in Little lake..... But I can assure you they aren't..... But you can't catch then jigging anymore.... For one the Bluegills are to numerous and won't leave your jigs alone.... We caught most of our walleye in 40 for of water..... Trolling crankbaits about 15 feet down..... Kinda hard to catch walleye that are suspended on jigs....

My first driving lesson was an old pickup my dad had, no idea what it was. I was 13 he took me out to the canals. Truck was a 3 on the tree! Ah the memories!

I have only driven one of those once.... I was thirteen when I started too but with a Ford Galaxy 500. First to park the car in the garage...

Then to drive about a mile from a popular restaurant we used to go to... or the local speedy mart.

I still need to teach my son. I started him driving when he was about thirteen in my Big Truck. Diesel and a stick... Very forgiving for lugging. But not his interest...

Times sure have changed. I used to ride horses all summer up in the high sierra (Dad worked on a high elevation hydro project)... alone...at age 9! I remember on more than one occasion coming home bloodied by some incident to my mom saying,"well, wash up! And clean the counter when you're finished!"

That's neat, ours all learn to drive a stick. The youngest is nervous about it but working up her courage!
