Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

Such sage advice :tongue good morning, WV :frow

Good morning. I'm going back to bed though. Was rudely awakened by itching on the back of my knee. Apparently i found a hungry family of mosquitoes that decided to feast on my leg.
I'm a skeeter magnet.

Well banded the egg eater this morning and @ Alaskan there may be another already doing it too :barnie. So maybe the whole flock needs to go . View attachment 1132581 I have this sore throat and have been losing my voice all day .:( Started yesterday after grandparents day at the grand kids school . Me and DW went to a old grist mill for lunch . Took her there years ago when it was abandoned so she could see what it looked like . All the works were still there then and now. Lady told me yesterday they ground all the floor they use in the restaurant which is the old storage buildings in the mill . So I just had to see . Turns out somebody lied to somebody :lau. Ain't been no grain ground between them stones in a very long time . DW liked the food I won't eat the breakfast food again .:sick She had lunch said it was good . They need me to teach them how to make sausage gravy and biscuits. So maybe we'll go back some time I'll try lunch . :frow K!!! :hugs :hugs :hugs Happy anniversary!! :hugs :hugs :hugs

Oldest son's girlfriend just let him know they are moving her dad to a rehabilitation center. He's doing better, weak but ready to get his strength back and start recovering. :D

:clap Good news! Thanks for the update. :hugs

Yeah, I'm married to one of those "tough guys" too. The one who claims to hate the house cat but meows at him at least once a day. Maybe he's swearing at him in cat language and I don't know it.

Happy early anniversary! (I'm with FMF...won't remember by tomorrow. :D )

I did until the stupid chickens started squawking for England - had to scramble outta bed and go and see what the problem was, only for them to stop, once they saw me :he I'm getting paranoid since the neighbour complained :(

:hugs :hugs

what you guys call cookies, we call biscuits. Guess we are going down the "fanny" road again :lau - and not a nicer road to go down on

 So...what do ya call (our) biscuits?

Other than (re)discovering that quotes chosen on my phone don't carry over to the laptop?

Farmer's Market runs weekly from the first Saturday of June to the last Saturday of October, though we aren't there the 3 Saturdays of fireworks selling season, and I got 3 weeks off from making fudge this year. I'm already sick of fudge. This does not bode well... (Granted, before the trip, I went onto overproduction so Tom could sell while I was gone, and that likely didn't help...) Tom's out of town this weekend, so I had to sell (I usually make him). Since this week was taken up with pulling everything out of the cupboards and drawers in the bathroom and kitchen to allow for roach control (Anyone remember the fridge saga? Well, the one we finally ended up with had passengers, which we didn't find out about until 3 months later...). I was really hoping, when I took inventory last night, that there would be just barely not enough to justify going to market this morning... There was enough, and now, this week, I need to make almost everything:barnie Still need to get stuff back in the cupboards and drawers, too, while going through and pulling out what we don't use (already tossed a lot of the stuff that was too messed up to donate or even use, but Tom is pushing for a heavier culling...) which of course makes the pile of stuff on the table look even bigger than it already is.
I never thought I'd say that Chris said what I would, but better:eek:View attachment 1132699

mmm...fudge! :D

Thought that was what you were supposed to do to the beaver???

 :lau :lau

I can't risk every female on the pond ditching their hubbies and running over to Kenya (again), can I now? :lau

What's that saying...with great risk comes great reward? ;)

Chances are, most of 'em would be quite happy :p

:smack

Good morning Pondies!

Coffee is on. We're approaching gin time for Chris. Who has toast?

:lau. Good morning, Debs / everyone :frow

We don't make what you guys call "biscuits". Nearest I could imagine is an Ecclescake (town is called Eccles) - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eccles_cake

Not sure a plane load of female pondies heading my way would be considered a "reward", for anyone :lau

I'll slip a couple of rounds in the toaster, for ya ;)
