Back from the swap! Sold a dozen eggs, five chicks, and a rooster, but none of the juvenile easter eggers I bought. Ah well, onto Craigslist they go.

Same here...Went into mom meltdown today and everyone decided it would behoove them to get off their arse and help me get chit done that I can't get done myself. Stuff got done too!!!!

Sometimes ya just gotta let 'em know that you need help. My sons learned as teenagers that chocolate can be a lifesaver. (For them. When Mom's in a mood, toss in chocolate before entering.)

Yea, sometimes everyone gets into a lull with the "moms got it" mentality. And once in awhile I seem to have to get my hackles up before they realize they are in that lull.
They apologized for not being more helpful and got busy. We all got stuff done and everyone (including me) is getting to relax for the evening.

I seriously thought about going to our swap today - but I think I'm going to wait until my roosters are a bit larger and can fetch a better price. I hope you're able to sell your others on the List of Craig.
Last night I sold a few of my extra birds to a gal off CL. She was so nice, and I got a great text from her this morning about how clean everything was here, etc. Sometimes, with the sheer volume of poop chickens put out, I wonder if I can ever really call anything "clean"! (But it was nice of her to say.)

Argh! Finally got around to fixing the leaking faucet in the tub, relatively painlessly. Got the water turned of, got the old parts out and replaced, then went to turn the water back on. Nada. Googled. Opened all the faucets, turned water off and then on again. Determined that stopcock does, indeed, stop after a quarter turn, so that's not the problem. Water bill is current, so that's not it (besides, it's a Saturday, and we had water at 11am...).
