I'm all about letting go and letting her find her own way but dang. I just don't think It's a good idea any way you dice it. And how in the h e double hockey sticks are we supposed to get her home if and when chit goes sideways. I don't think she should expect us to honestly. . . but when it's your child you know we will do what it takes in the end. But dang it. That girl is making me go gray.

Thanks. I did a search and checked out the Ohiki breed thread. If I had that hen, I would be so tempted to breed her back to one of her sons to try to duplicate her.

So far, all her sons turned out over-melanized wheaten, lol... she will be kept, but ultimately I will be cutting back to working on my blacks and silver duckwing Ohiki...

The same one She wrecked her car coming home from there.
To be fair she has been talking him on Skype for 2 years. His parents actually brought him to see her graduate. But. . . then she moved in with a different guy and said they broke up a long time ago and he was just here trying to get her back. I've been so confused!
Then she said she met a different guy while she was in Kentucky and that they were in a relationship just like three or four weeks ago.
Now she says she is moving in with the original boy and his parents until they can get a place. oh. . .and they are getting married in February she says.

I do not believe she is in any danger from this family. . so at least there is that. And I do believe this kid cares about her. If it wasn't almost 600 miles away I wouldn't be as concerned. But. . worry doesn't help it just makes you sick so I might as well just suck it up. . whatever will be will be.
The parents aren't bad people. . not my cup of tea but she's the one that's gonna be living with them.

It's my birthday. 50. It's been a good day.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

Not too bad at high school where I work. Very quiet day. Stopped in at elementary for a bit and there was a lot of red eyes. Girls working over there were pretty tore up. Said lots of crying kiddos. . . . so so so hard not to cry with them. We are told by administration to try and be as strong as possible as to not make it worse. But it's so hard!

And that's why we go to the hairdresser.... Seriously, I wish I had words to help you feel better. All I can say is, hang in there Mama! She'll come around. Someday she will realize that you do have a brain in your head and actually know stuff, and come asking for advice.


Hello, Pondies! Good but busy day today. Had and appointment after school, came home and worked in the garage for a while, and talked to youngest DS on the phone tonight. They are moving on Oct. 1 and he asked me if I would be willing to watch the baby that day. I told him, "No, I want to unpack all your boxes so it takes you months and months to find anything!" He said, "OK, so you're willing to babysit - great!"

Now I'm off to bed. Didn't get much sleep last night. Had a rip-roaring thunderstorm come through about 11:30 with high winds, rain, hail, and non-stop thunder and lightning. It would have been a great storm had it come earlier in the evening... (It wouldn't have been so bad, but my pager went off about 11:00 with the warning so I was awake waiting for it to hit. Otherwise, I probably would have slept through the whole thing.)

I got an amazing black pullet from a breeder in KY, no red leakage! Nearby friend wanted to get her for me and was owed a favor, lol...

I have a program that came with my sewing machine that can stitch following handwriting.

Son, daughter-in-law, & wife all have embroidery machines....amazing things!
