Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

More than the fact that it was posted, I found the manner of posting to be extremely strange. Perhaps it was nothing more than trolling. Fact is that 'free range' parrots will eventually be caught and eaten by predators.
Tell that to the flock of parrots we have here in San Diego... and yep there are a couple of Macaws in there... Mostly Yellow Naped Amazons.. or something similar. Last time I saw the flock it was about two or three hundred strong.. Loud mouthed little Bas tards.... Love em but I bet the people in their foraging paths dont.

There are enough fruit and nut trees around here to provide a healthy life for them. There are several theories about how the flock started... Most agree the original flock must have been Wild caught... With the skills to survive... Others were escapees.

Not uncommon for smugglers to feed Wild caught parrots Alcahol soaked feed to get em drunk then pack em in burlap inside the spare tire of their car... or some compartment to get them across the border.

Lately They caught some smuggling in Tiger cubs.... SMH.
