My wife's white Silkie hens are like Siamese twins. One is broody and stays in the nest box. The other keeps her company and still keeps laying.
See the sister hasn't laid an egg since I sold all my silkies! But she hasn't really been broody either. But she sure is now. I can barely drag her out of there.
I've decided to move Mocha and the chicks, and leave Cocoa in the same box with new eggs. Put Mocha with the OEGBs next to the other OEGBs, so when she's ready to let go of them, they just move next door with their kind, and she'll go back to her group.
