So I was looking at this EE pullet we go about a month ago and I was like "if she had feathered feet she could almost pass as a blue Marans" then I noticed her comb was a single, wonder if there isn't some marans somewhere in there.

Could be anything egg laying will tell you more. maybe self blue in her

BTW, I've never ordered chicks from a hatchery and unless I can't sweet talk a local broiler farmer into giving me a few chicks of his next shipment I'll have to place an order. Any recommendations?

I've seen them for sale on Craigslist before. Never bought any from there or a hatchery though.

Got some in the freezer maybe enough cubes together and you can float the shack

No clue on the meat birds.

Weather snapped a week ago, so now it's around 80 during the day and mid 50s at night. We open the house at night and then close it up and it stays around 70 inside without turning the swamp cooler on. So much nicer than a few weeks ago. We've had a few good rain showers, too.

Tried to get pics of the boys, but only Nikolai cooperated. Think I'm keeping him;
