So I checked under my broodies (for extra eggs they aren't supposed to have) when I locked up the birds for the night and noticed two of my duck eggs had externally pipped.

Who got new Ameraucanas?

I think I'm missing a chocolate orp chick. They run so fast, its hard to count them, but I'm pretty sure one is missing. I didn't let them out yesterday, but they were out the day before, but I didn't count them the other night because it was semi-dark and they were mostly huddled up with their mommas, so I didn't bother them. And I think it might have been a mauve. But I'll do a better check this afternoon.

Dangit! I'm sorry. All the duck eggs were clear too. I'm blaming the weather!

But I'd be happy to mail you some more LO eggs. The girls have slowed down, but I'm still getting quite a few, and they are nice and clean now!

At least Ravyn and I got to meet, and I should get a few more self-blue OEGB's this weekend, from my broody, and I got to see the Wild Turkey factory

pump isn't fried . good morning OZ Sour WV Chaos Chris. Thought I'd pop back in candle wasn't good 79 out of 150 left all the LOs were either clear or quit

lots of clears and a few quitters . Not sure about the individual count . going to fill the tray and a half back up today .which means I'll have to date the eggs and label them per breed which I never do .I got plenty of eggs going to go mostly Marans and CLBs and

self blue AMs .only have a few of each of those . plenty of Marans . long day hay tetter has two flat tires and hay needs flipping so catch up latter . Oh and WV thank you and Ravyn at least we tried

Speaking of life being cruel: got a call from the school nurse at my daughter's school. There has been a lice outbreak and my daughter has it. ARGGGGGGG!. 2 and a half hour drive one way to get her and bring her home. She is not allowed back until cleared by a Doctor. On a holiday weekend no less. ARGGGGGGG!

my school district cant send them home it is now considered a nuisance and therefore they cant keep kids out for it

That's horrible! I always hated that when my son was in school. Even worse for girls with long hair.

But 2 and a half hour drive, one way?? does a bus run that every day? Wow!

Her and my son are in the Arkansas School for Math Science and the Arts. It's a residential high school that is basically like going to college as Jr. In high school. There is a big application and interview process. My son is a Sr. This year. Last year he earned 30 concurrent college credit hours.

It's a fabulous opportunity for them but it's like sending them off 2 years early. :-(
