I knew it was gonna rain today, this morning I put just enough water in the incubator to get it from 26% (it usually goes down around there at night) to about 35% and it shot way up to 47% and I know I didn't make it go that high cause I only put in a tiny amount of water. Yep, started raining about an hour ago.

On another note the few smaller aircells have grown a decent amount since yesterday while the bigger ones are still about the same.

Chrissy's foot just came off!! Thank you Lord!!!

It came off as a nice cap, the stump is very clean cut. Bled a bit but stopped quickly, and I wrapped it up with gauze and vetwrap. No infection visible!!

It came off when I was putting her back in her pen. Somehow, my friend didn't seem as elated when I sent her a pic.... Can't imagine why...

she's from mine? How come I never think my birds that I keep look that good and then I see them at somebody else's house and I'm like dang, that's a nice bird! :idunno :love Pigeons! I swear! Agreed on the gangrene. I don't see anything concerning with the foot yet. I would also do as Raven said and not let her bathe for a few days. may help it dry out so it can fall off. I agree with this completely. The rooster I had that lost his foot took forever to lose it but looked like your Ducks foot does and finally one day it was just gone. Frostbite is some nasty stuff and takes forever to heal I wouldn't want you any other way! Welcome to the pond. Watch out for the python oh, is python back?
I do the same with my own birds, lol... never think they're that good, then I see them with someone else, lol...
Gonna sit here quietly on my lily pad today. Don't anybody come too close as I'm fighting a fever/chills sort of cold. :sick
:hugs
Forgot that I got a few decent ones of her on Sunday. They are just over 6 months old now. And caught a little love action going on... right in front of the dogs!
:drool :love

Awesome!!! So glad it did!!! Just keep the stump wrapped/padded for a bit... the end will be sore/sensitive for a bit...
Sick amberlink hen update. Has been getting 250mg amoxicillin every 12 hrs. Is starting to pick at chick starter crumbles I gave her. No interest in scrambled eggs. Drinks TONS of water now. Her crop has started moving again (the most concerning part to me when it was stopped). Her comb has some color back and she is more alert and has her balance back. She actually ran from me when I startled her yesterday. Huge improvement from the chicken I found laying on the ground unwilling to move, eat, or drink on Saturday night.
:fl Glad she's improving!!!
sorry - I'll bid you all goodnight - i fear a hot slap from Rav is not far from the horizon
 I see no reason??? Carry on... ;)
Too blinking right i am!
I dunno why... what I do???
