Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

Wasn't the breeder's fault, that much I know.
CAM issues were mentioned as a possibility?? I sorta remember seeing the veins only ever come down to within 1/2 inch to an inch of the bottom, but it didn't register in my mind.... And I never sponged, at all.... :/
Oh, I bugged them to no end!

I never sponged or misted my duck eggs. Course, those were regular size.

X2 on my big duck eggs...

Your air cells were fine, shouldn't have needed sponging or misting... not developing properly could've been shipping damage or flock health/genetics/nutrition...

Thanks... It was rather cold where they went through; so maybe that?

Best advice from you guys. Just had an amusing image of Banti posting the question "my chicks aren't hatching when i want them to - I've spoken to them nicely, harshly, sang to them, but nothing - please help!"

ROFL!!

I've read enough old threads to recite the lectures I'd prob'ly get from heart

I just feel bad hijacking the chatter to ask a zillion overworried questions

I've had boxes of eggs freeze and still got some to hatch... more issues from being to hot when shipped than too cold... in fact, my best hatches from shipped were winter ones...

Huh, odd... Box wasn't damaged either, and air cells were just a bit saddled. No more so than any other batches, and certainly better than my last chick to hatch had.
